dev hazrat phalke

Hazrat Mohammed Siddique Falke   was a Muslim devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, also known as Haji Mohammed Siddique Falke. His story of seeking Baba's grace is prominently featured in the   Shri Sai Satcharitra , the holy book recounting Sai Baba's life and teachings.   Details about Hazrat Falke: Devotional journey:  Initially, Falke faced difficulties in gaining an audience with Sai Baba. He waited in the Chavadi for nine months, attempting in vain to enter the Dwarkamai masjid where Baba resided. He eventually sought the help of Shama, another close devotee of Sai Baba, who interceded on his behalf. Spiritual lesson:  Sai Baba's apparent reluctance was part of a spiritual lesson to test and purify Falke's devotion. Once he finally received Baba's attention, he was subjected to a series of tests that revealed esoteric truths about spiritual surrender and detachment from worldly desires. Symbolism of surrender:  During one of these encounters, Baba posed...

Guru contemporaries

Image
Sant Pir Maulana was a contemporary Saint during the sojourn of Shri Sai Baba in Shirdi. A brief mention about his name has been mentioned in Chapter 21 of Holy Shri Sai Satcharitra. sant_moulana Durvesh Shah Imambhai Chotakhan heard the greatness of Shirdi Sai Baba at the age of 65 years. He lived in  Vaijapur  about 40 km. from Shirdi, in Aurangabad district. He was surrounded by problems. He consulted a Muslim Saint, Durvesh Shah, for a way out of his problems. And that time he was much disturbed by a legal proceeding in the court between him and his parental aunt. Durvesh Shah said,”Child, there is a person living in Shirdi. He is greater than all the great souls. He is all-powerful. If He showers His grace, then nothing is impossible. He is one with almighty God. Have His darshan and pray to Him. Your wishes will be fulfilled.” Among Sai Baba's contemporaries, there were three famous Sufi yogis: One was Tajuddin Baba , the second was Babajan , and the thi...

Guru bhakthi ways

Image
be most humble before everyone, concentrate on the toe. This is a very easy way of devotion. like spotting the crescent moon between two branches, by keeping the index and the middle fingers on the toe of his foot, Mother Sai shows a simple way of meditation to his devotees.

Guru words bhakthi

When he had taken Sai Samarthas darshan, Patankars eyes were rewarded. After bowing down at his feet he worshipped him with ritualistic accuracy. 78. Afterwards, with folded hands, he sat in front of Baba, very close to him. Anantrao who looked very lovingly, asked him with extreme humility: 79.  I have read many books, including the Vedas, the Vedangas and the Upanishads. I have listened to the holy Shastras and Puranas. Yet, why is my mind so despondent? 80. I now feel that whatever I have read has been wasted. I think that even the illiterate devout devotee is better off than me. 81. All my study of books, learning of Shastras is a waste. All this bookish knowledge is futile as long as my mind remains unsteady. 82. Oh how empty is the effort I have made over the study of etymology; to what purpose is the japa and mantra which does not give peace of mind! How will I then ever acquire the knowledge of Brahman? 83.  I have heard that by Sais darshan all worries are remo...

Guru words

Though Sai had spoken casually, all the people were anxious to experience the outcome of those words. Whether they may or may not be uttered jokingly, they could never be meaningless, because in every word that Baba spoke there was a store of profound meaning.  Whatever Baba said, these were not mere words but the seals of destiny. Not one word would ever be futile. It would accomplish its task at the proper time. This was Das Ganus firm belief, whatever may be the feelings of others. According to the measure of ones faith the fruits are received. Sit wherever you are and ask me. Why do you wander from place to place? I will satisfy your curiosity. Have this much faith. I fill the space. There is not a place where I am not. I appear anywhere where there is devotees deep devotion . The path of this place is not so easy as the teachings of the Kanarese Appa or even as the buffalo ride in the ghats. There is no alternative but to put in your best exertions  Whatever Ap...

Noon arati udi

After the noon arati, Maharaj would come to the outer side of the Masjid and distribute udi amongst the devotees with a most compassionate look. The loving devotees, too, would immediately hug his feet, then standing up, they would adoringly look at his face and enjoy the shower of udi. Baba also lavishly offered handsful of udi in the palms of the devotees. With his thumb he would also apply it to their foreheads. Oh, how much abundance of love he had in his heart!  Bhau go and have your meals. Go Anna, go and eat your delicious food. Go, everyone, go to your own homes.  He would address each one, in this manner,

Gurusthan shirdi

Gurusthan “In human life, the Guru’s place is prominent. By keeping utmost faith in the Guru alone everything is obtained. A devotee’s entire strength is due to his Guru. Devotion to the Guru is superior to devotion to gods and goddesses. The Guru is the Supreme Being. ” gurusthan shirdi Shri Sai Baba Gurusthan means “place of the Guru”. It is both where Baba spent most of his time when he first came to Shirdi, and also where, according to Baba, the tomb of his own Guru is located by the neem tree. Gurusthan is therefore one of the most important places in Shirdi.. From underneath the NEEM tree there is an underground tunnel or passage leading to the place of Dwarkamai as told by an old lady. Once when some villagers were digging the foundations for Sathe Wada just behind the neem tree, they came across some bricks in the soil and what looked like the opening of a tunnel. Uncertain whether to proceed or not, they asked Baba what they should do. He told them that this was the site...
